Do The Time Warp
(it's just a step to the left...)
We treated Dina to a celebratory dinner tonight in honor of her new gig at a local school district ("special projects": creating an alien-human hybrid capable of ace-ing standardized tests and telekenisis, or something). A Cheesecake Factory recently opened up near here, so that's where we went.
In the lobby was a sign advertising National Cheesecake Day and CF's 30th anniversary. This Wednesday, 7/30, the restaurant invites you to go back in time thirty years, price-wise at least.
Any slice of cheesecake at 1978 prices. That's a buck-fifty. Dine-in only, so get there early.
Now, if only I could recapture the video game skills I had as a nine-year-old...

Thanks, Kanga!
Last month I mentioned picking up some Carnival Skittles at a 7-11. And I said in passing that they had different flavors in Australia, more interesting and possibly more delicious flavors.
Friend Kanga sent us a big bag from down under, confirming their deliciousity. The new flavors? Popcorn, Jam Donut, Toffee Apple, Fairy Floss (cotton candy), and Bubble Gum. Yum!
Did I mention that the Porsches are different down in Australia?

Finding Yourself in Dallas, Texas
This morning I joined the chucklehead crew heading off to Krispy Kreme for breakfast. Good stuff.
Better stuff, however, at the Central Market next door. Mike-sell's brand kettle-cooked potato chips. We got the regular, Bahama BBQ, and cheesy chipotle styles. Mmmmm.
I've told Phil if a kid tries to bite him he should say, loudly and with confidence, "I am not food." But if we were, darn but we'd be tasty.
