So Much Stuff I Can't Recall

Forgiving Mark Harmon

I'm sure there's more to it, but I've always believed Mark Harmon destroyed Moonlighting. And blamed him for it.*

When he had his Chicago Hope comeback I wasn't a fan (though I did like the show in general).

As NCIS agent Gibbs, though, he's found his way into my good graces. Great show. Great character. Great slaps upside the head. If you haven't watched NCIS, give it a try. Good fun.

*He also married TV's Mindy, but since they've been married 21 years, and Dina and I almost as long, I think it's fair to check off that boat as having sailed.

Never miss it.
Also, Mark Harmon stars in one of the all time best girls slumber party movies--Summer School--with Kirstie Ally and Courtney Thorne-Smith. Twelve/thirteen year old girls love it. And you can't forget him on St. Elsewhere.

Yeah, I love NCIS. It's one of the few things I do watch on TV. I've even got Sissy hooked on it.

And I got to wait on Mark and his wife at a minor league baseball team in my hometown that he owned part of. They were very nice and gracious, even when mobbed by fans. And they left me a huge tip. :)

His wife played Mindy or Mork and Mindy, right? And I think his big sister was married to Ricky Nelson--they later divorced but she's the mother of Tracy Nelson and the Nelson Twins. There was even a big court case after Rick was killed about Mark and his wife getting custody of the twins but don't remember what all happened.
I know, but once the trivia gene kicks in, it hard to get it to stop.

Pam Dawber was talking about bringing Mork and Mindy to the big screen, did that ever happen?

Mark Harmon is one of my fav's to watch. NCIS is one of the best on TV right now.

Pam Dawber! That's her name! I couldn't remember when I wrote that. Sheesh!
It might be fun to see Mork and Mindy on the big screen but I can't see Robin Williams going for it. Glad she still dabbles in the business. She really could do a take well. Her other show, My Sister Sam I think was the title, had potential but the actress playing her sister, Rebecca Shaffer, was killed and put an end to that.
Wow, Chris, who knew your little post would be such a great walk down Memory Lane.
