So Much Stuff I Can't Recall

Oh Yes I Did

On the way to church yesterday a CD of rat-pack era songs was playing. Sinatra and Witchcraft, Louie Prima and Banana Split for My Baby, Sammy and I Ain't Got Nobody.

I wondered aloud why Mr. Davis, Jr., wasn't singing Buddy, Ain't Got No Eye. But I'm tacky like that.

2 Snarky Remarks:

Oh Chris, I knew you were another one. Please tell me you like Rod Stewart's Great American Songbook collection and Michael Bublé! I've felt so alone--the wrong genre (let alone decade) among country music lovers.

Abundant blessings,

Not familiar with the Rod Stewart collection--I take it that it's not "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" and "Young Turks." I have some Buble, but haven't really gotten into it. Enjoy Connick, Jr.

And country, depending on the singer and era (i.e., Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, a little Waylon and Willie goes a long way), isn't as bad as I once feared it to be.
